About the Campaign
The Violence Awareness & Response Program is resolving a critical gap in resources for students who identify as survivors of sexual violence. As the only office on campus that provides confidential advocacy services to survivors, our team supports students as they navigate safety planning and recovery. Effective safety planning often requires addressing immediate personal and academic needs. Through this campaign, we are raising funds to help offset emergent expenses so students can focus on healing and continuing their education at Minnesota State University, Mankato. Support from donors allows our program to respond quickly when students face urgent situations that require financial assistance. The need for survivor advocacy has grown, and our services operate year-round. Currently, we do not have sustainable funding sources that allow us to consistently offset the medical, mental health, legal, housing, and living expenses survivors may face during a crisis. Your support helps students move toward safety, stability, and independence.
